Our Environmental Programs
To empower environmental initiatives among kids & youth, we have organized various mentor sessions as well as Live workshops on Best out of waste, Gullack to encourage kids for saving, Slogan/Essay writing competitions on the theme of Environment, Nest installation for Birds to protect and save endangered species like Sparrow.
Best Out of Waste
Waste management is beneficial for both children and adults. When a child is raised in an environment where people know how to reduce and recycle he/she becomes a responsible and thoughtful member of the community. As the leaders of tomorrow, children need to be well-equipped to safeguard the planet.
Paudha Bank
This idea to promote investment in greenery was started by DAKSH Foundation. Any person can take saplings from here and plant them in his garden or any other suitable place without any charge. All kinds of plants are available here. Apart from rosewood, neem, mango, peepal, banyan, etc., ornamental plants with medicinal properties are also given. Apart from this, different species of flowering plants are also found here. Plant varieties change according to the season. So far 1,01,253 saplings have been donated.
Green Hat Junior
Children are naturally curious and creative so we must engage our imagination and start looking at waste and recyclables as useful materials and give them a new life. Turning plastic bottles into planters and starting an herb garden, creating mosaic art from bottle caps and turning cereal boxes into a periscope or a kaleidoscope help kids think creatively.
